Should I Get Botox?

What is Botox?

What to Expect with Botox
Botox sessions are simple and quick, generally lasting 15 to 30 minutes depending on the areas being treated. Using an ultra-fine needle, our skilled and experienced board-certified dermatologists will inject predetermined amounts of Botox into underlying wrinkle-causing facial muscles, leading to the relaxation of these muscles. You may experience a slight pinch from Botox injections, and a topical anesthetic may be applied to help increase your comfort. Botox Cosmetic requires minimal downtime, and you can return to your daily activities right after treatment. However, some patients may experience slight bruising or soreness in the injection area(s).
Botox Results
Botox Cosmetic initial results are typically visible within one to two days of treatment, with improvements lasting around three to six months. Treatments are tailored specifically to each patient to achieve the desired results.Our dermatologists promote a subtle, more natural aesthetic. This treatment is temporary, so touch-up appointments every three to six months should be scheduled to maintain your results. The Side Effects of Botox
Side effects of Botox Cosmetic are mild in nature, including soreness and bruising around the injection site. Patients are allowed to wear makeup after their Botox treatment, but should avoid pressure around the injection area for several hours for optimal results.
